Christmas Lights at the Gardens on Spring Creek

Christmas Lights Cover the Watering Can

Recently the kids and I visited the Gardens on Spring Creek to see all the christmas lights. It was (and is) quite the display, probably one of the more brilliant displays in town. This got me to thinking, are there any other traditional christmas light displays in Fort Collins, either on homes or in other public places?

A few come to mind for me

Santa’s workshop at Woodward Governor. The family and I have visited this one for most of the last 23 years. It is cool, but my only complaint is that is has not changed at all in that time frame.

Downtown Fort Collins. This one has vastly improved over the last 10 years.

Do any of you want to nominate any others? Any pictures of Christmas past you would like to share?

I have not been back for far too long. I grew up in the “Fort” and probably went through the Woodward Governor Christmas display at least 70 times in the 18 years that I lived there. I have not seen it in many years, but I honestly hope that it is the same. There is always plenty of new stuff, so why not enjoy and preserve the old? If you do not enjoy it, do not bother to go. It is 56F in Miami right now and I would be happy to see the “Old WWG” Christmas Display sound included for free.

  • Downtown is beautiful! I love the lights in the trees.

We missed the lights at the gardens. Are they still up? We had hoped to go down and see the Sugar Plum Hairies but we ended up doing something else instead. Oh well, maybe next year.

  • Meg,

I think the lights will be up through New Years Eve.
